Today’s economic reality has forced a cruel trade-off. As rent and food costs climb to nearly unreachable levels, single-parent families and adults with special needs are being pushed into a survival-only existence. When nearly every dollar goes toward housing and groceries, it’s not just clothes, shoes, household items, and hygiene products that disappear—it’s access to opportunity.
Rigid income limits leave many earning too much to qualify for assistance, yet not enough to move forward.
